Join Me at LeWeb London!

After the fabulous time I had last year, I cannot wait to go back. The second edition of LeWeb London will take place June 5th and 6th. It is, as always, one of the industry’s great international gatherings, bringing together the leaders and influencers defining a movement. I’m always amazed at what Geraldine and Loic Le Meur can put together. The focus of this year’s lineup is “The Sharing Economy”.

This new movement is not only a shift from consumerism, but an adjustment of social values altogether. While on the surface the sharing movement consists of peer-to-peer exchanges of goods and services, it goes further to form new communities with new value systems. The arrival of these services shows a generational change from ownership to borrowing, renting or sharing. Collaborative consumption is the new outlet for experiences people crave, stemming from the endless connectivity we all now enjoy. This is sure to spark an interesting dialogue, where we will all walk away with a better understanding of what drives this industry and the best practices that can be employed.

A rock star spread of speakers is already set to present, including both trailblazers of the sharing movement, along with entirely new players. A few of the highlights promise to be co-founder of Airbnb Joe Gebbia, Chad Dickerson CEO of Etsy, Frerk-Malte Feller representing Zipcar, Jeremy Stoppleman co-founder & CEO of Yelp and the founder of Burning Man Larry Harvey. And let’s not forget the launch of impossible.com, Snapsation, and Breather.

Not only will there be an incredible line up, but LeWeb provides an opportunity like no other to connect with major players in the industry. This is an arena for inspiration and new ideas to burgeon. The conference brings in talent from across the globe lending itself to the ideal networking space to build partnerships for the future.

Once again, we’ll also see the famous Startup Competition. Sixteen budding startups will battle for recognition. They will make their pitch on stage and defend their real time applications, vying for approval from the spectators and the judges.

If you haven’t made it to a LeWeb conference yet, you are missing out! As someone who attends all the major tech conferences around the world, this one is invaluable. From the hottest speakers to the unbeatable innovation, this conference is not to be missed. I’ll see you there!
