My Top Ten iPhone Apps for 2010
Since everyone’s making their top ten lists of the year, I thought I’d make my own top ten iPhone Apps of 2010 list, so here goes: 1) Facebook – I couldn’t live without the Facebook application installed on my iPhone 2) Viber – the application which enables me to make free calls to other Viber users over 3G and WiFi with superior sound quality 3) Instagram – My favorite photo sharing app. The guy who [...]

Instagram for Audio: An Interview with SoundCloud at LeWeb 2010
At LeWeb I bumped into Alex Ljung, founder of SoundCloud who showed me a new feature in their iPhone application. SoundCloud is a platform that enables people to share sounds. The iPhone app enables you to save sounds and send sounds to your friends. The new feature which was released last week, allows you to easily record sounds at your location and check in via Foursquare’s API while sharing it with your friends on Facebook [...]

A Talk with Brian Solis at LeWeb about My Body API and The Personal OS

Solis discusses Loic Le Meur’s concept called “My Body API” which refers to the new devices emerging these days which measure aspects of us (weight, health, etc.) and connects them to other [...]

Chatting with Robert Scoble At LeWeb 2010
If you’re a techie and want to know whether you’re in the right conference, check if Robert Scoble (aka Scobleizer) is around. If he’s there, you’re in the right place. I have known Robert for many years and have traveled with him to conferences around the world. He is one of the most articulate people in the industry who can envision what the future holds, not only because of his wisdom and experience but also [...]

An Amazing (and funny) First Day at LeWeb10
Had a great time on the first day of LeWeb10. All the who’s who from Silicon Valley and the European tech scene were there: Marissa Mayer, Dennis Crowley, Michael Arrington, Jeff Clavier and more. I especially enjoyed seeing the face of Mike Jones, CEO of MySpace, letting us all understand that “no, really, we didn’t surrender to Facebook”. Poor guy. I wouldn’t trade places with him for anything. Some other highlights from today: Jason Goldman [...]

Do I Need A Website Or Can I Just Be Social?
This post was originally posted on The Next Web on December 1st, 2010 In today’s social networks, particularly Facebook dominated world, many companies are asking themselves: Do I need a destination site or can I move all my online activities to the social networks I am on? Here’s a great blog post I found from a year ago which predicted the decline of the Destination Web vs. the Social Web. The Reasons Why You DON’T Need A Website: [...]
