My Interview with Jeff Jarvis on "What Would Google Do?"

At DLD I had the opportunity to talk to Jeff Jarvis about his new book, What Would Google Do?  The book was released during the DLD conference in Munich last week.  In Jeff’s words, the book is about how “we should figure out this rapidly changing world by looking at a company that has figured it out.”  This company, of course, is Google.

In our interview, Jeff talks about his book, how we can apply the laws and lessons taught by Google to other industries and why Google has grown into such a success.  Jeff believes that a couple of things have led to Google’s success.  For one, Google’s understanding of the rapid changes in our world has given them an edge up on the competition.  Additionally, their development of a new form of business model which enables others to build what they want and to succeed has been a major factor in the growth and success of Google.  When others succeed, Google succeeds.

Jeff Jarvis is an American Journalist who blogs about news and media at BuzzMachine.com.  Over the years he has had experience working as a television critic, a professor, a media consultant as well as being the creator and founding editor of Entertainment WeeklyWhat Would Google Do? is Jeff’s first book, but he is currently thinking about what his next book will cover.  I for one can’t wait to find out!
