Another Exciting "Sauna Moment" from LeWeb
In yet another exciting ”sauna moment” from LeWeb08, I entered the Finnish sauna and learned a few fun sauna facts from the Finns.
1. Originally, saunas were used to heat Finnish homes.
2. There are about 2 million saunas in the world. 1% of these are smoke saunas which, according to the Finns at LeWeb, are the best kind.
3. The humidity in a sauna is heated up to 70-90 degrees so that sauna-goers can sweat out all of their toxins (oh boy!)
The Finnish startups at LeWeb banded together and received government funding to bring the sauna to the conference. I personally think it would be a good idea to have a sauna in every European conference during the winter. Think they’ll have one at DLD?

I like hot-tubs over saunas, but when it’s cold, either is fine by me.

Sauna is Great and very healthy, -but never been used for home heating …
It always was stand alone shed …
Todays it is integerated almost in each home/flat in Finland …
BTW – I have sauna in my house here in Israel
