Mapplr – Your Online Travel Guide

Arnon Kohavi, Co-Founder of Mapplr, tells us what Mapplr is all about. In essence, Mapplr is an online guide to the best boutique hotels, restaurants and cafes in major cities in the world. Its mission is to help users find cool small hotels and B&Bs, hip restaurants, bars and cafes in cities worldwide. I had the pleasure of meeting Arnon as well as Esme Vos, Mapplr’s Editor, when I was in SF. Please excuse the noise and lighting – this was a spontaneous video we shot in the middle of dinner.

  • What is the new thing in that project?

  • Mapplr saves you time. You can take a look in mapplr at a city, find a hotel and restaurant that you like, and move on. Not every company develops something new – many successful ones simply make existing things better, easier and faster. There is so much information on the web – anyone can find a hip hotel if they look hard enough, but Mapplr as the “editor” does it for you – for example, many people discovered Nina Suites, a cool boutique hotel in Tel Aviv via mapplr. It is all about finding the right niche/need and addressing it.
